I'm Jodie, a qualified counsellor based in North Manchester and a registered member of the BACP. I offer therapy for adults, creating a supportive, confidential space where you can explore what’s going on, whether that’s something specific, or a more general sense of feeling stuck, lost or overwhelmed.

My core training is in person-centred counselling. I hold a Level Four Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and completed my clinical hours with the Mental Health Independent Support Team (MHIST) in Bolton, working with services users within the local community. That experience shaped the way I practise now: relational, thoughtful and focused on what matters most to you.

Since qualifying, I’ve continued to develop my knowledge through ongoing training and CPD. My areas of additional learning include domestic violence, ADHD, Autism, trauma-informed counselling, depression recovery, compassion-focused therapy, attachment theory and complex PTSD. I also hold certifications in counselling skills and interpersonal communication, and regularly engage with research to support ethical, client-led work.

I’ve been interviewed by the BBC, featured on the podcast Unveiling the True Essence of Counselling, and referenced in national media, including Bored Panda. But the work that matters most happens in the therapy room - sitting with someone, hearing their story, and helping them find space to make sense of their experience.
